Study required scheduling a four-hour block for an off-platform interview using Microsoft Teams. I scheduled this using their system, and received a meeting link. However, the researcher was a no-show for the scheduled meeting. There was no communication prior to the scheduled meeting time. No one was reachable during the scheduled time. I attempted contact through Prolific, offering a reschedule, but it took more than two days to get a response. Researcher indicated the in-Prolific email was only "monitored on weekends" yet it was late Sunday when the first response appeared. There was an apology for my experience and the miscommunication but no explanation. I agreed to reschedule and was given less than an hour before a message appeared asking that I return the study "Unable to reach participant to reschedule appointment. Please return your submission as payment is contingent upon active participation in the 4-hour meeting." Unfortunately they went silent at that point.
