What a disaster. The estimated time for this study was 30 minutes. The pay was 5 pounds an hour (which, silly me, is below the required 6 pounds an hour). With 30 seconds left before the study timed out, I submitted a NOCODE because I had been waiting for at least 10 minutes "for other participants." Curiously, as soon as the maximum allowed time of 60 minutes expired, I was advanced in the study to the final screens. I completed the rest of the survey, received my completion code, and then updated it. I sent the researcher a message at 50 minutes in, informing them of the issue, but I didn't get a response. If I hadn't submitted a NOCODE before it timed out, it would have timed me out. Don't even get me started on the survey construction, instructions, etc. I will not be doing studies with this researcher anymore unless something drastic changes.
