Base pay didn't end up being very good, since it started off mediocre and then the average time was higher than estimated. But I got a performance bonus of £1.10 at least, and the study approved in a couple days (including bonus). There are some comprehension checks at the beginning to ensure you understood the task instructions, and you are able to review the instructions on the same page. However, the top of the page does say that if you do not get the questions correct, the study will end immediately without pay. Prolific's comprehension check policy states that participants must be given two attempts to answer these questions correctly before being asked to return the study.
