Rejected

Got rejected for reason "screened out" but in the study it simply gave the standard thank you for your response recorded message. I had messaged the researcher after and they said it's totally fine and that I have completed it. Now they say I was apparently screened out and rejected me. Shouldn't I either be compensated or told to return in a screener? Currently waiting to submit appeal.
