This study was indeed broken, but the researcher was very proactive in communicating with participants, apologising, and reminding to return the study to avoid any unnecessary rejections. I believe this reflects the appropriate responsibility and responsiveness expected from a researcher.

Unfortunately, this study is completely broken. Don't waste your time on it for now. Nothing against the interviewer, but the screening question is broken so that you can't actually proceed past it regardless of what you select. You don't even get kicked out. You just can't proceed.
