I just spent 15+ minutes reading consent forms, filling in demographics questions, reading instructions, taking a study comprehension quiz, being assigned a unique study ID that they stressed on THREE separate pages that I MUST copy and keep track of throughout the study, reading *more* instructions, before *finally* getting to the button to start the actual experiment. The next page said, "This experiment is not accepting participants. Come back later." Unacceptable. I messaged the researcher before returning the study, then again after, as well as messaging Prolific. I will be contacting the UMN's IRB if I don't hear back. I understand I can choose not to participate in a task, but when I accept it in good faith and jump through the researcher's hoops and don't even get a screen-out comp (there was no screener anyway), *and* they have my demographics info for free, I really don't appreciate being jerked around. I'm willing to consider that this may be a glitch but, if so, they need to make it right and allow those of us who started the study and got abruptly cut off to finish it and be compensated.

I spent almost 10 minutes on this study including answering comprehension questions before it stated "This Experiment Is Not Accepting Participants."
This just happened to me and I created an account here to post about it. Over 15 minutes in, after consent forms, demographics questions, instructions, comprehension quiz, being assigned a unique study ID that they stressed on THREE separate pages that I MUST copy and keep track of throughout the study, more instructions, before *finally* getting to the button to start the actual experiment. The next page said, "This experiment is not accepting participants. Come back later." I'm sorry... "Come back later"??? Ridiculous. Complete BS. I've messaged the researcher and Prolific and I will be contacting the UMN's IRB if I don't hear back.
Very good study that is simple to do. It plunges you through a scenario, then you answer questions about it. And then, it just asks about some political demographics.
Fast approval.
Took me about 3.5 minutes when the intended was 6, and paid well. I was a bit confused by the end saying "Please remain seated and wait for other participants." I just closed the study and submitted NOCODE. So hopefully that will work out
straightforward, approved instantly
Pay was decent. Easy study, no issues. Immediately approved
The study wasn't too boring and the pay was pretty good. It was nice and short, too.
Hiring Manager and Job Post Summary, instant approval, pay could be better.
