I was screened out of this study that was listed with an in-study screening, but then I received a message that my submission was rejected instead of receiving the in-study screening credit payment.
It took me about 21 minutes rather than the intended 10 minutes, and it had several (albeit fairly simple) free-response questions. It wasn't so bad in my opinion as I enjoy talking about this topic, but it should have paid much more. I initially took the study due to the description mentioning that "One section asks you to check your phone for messages", which seemed odd and I just wanted to check it out. I thought it meant they would send a message, but it just wants you to check through messages you already have received.
I got an auto reject after I did the survey and I have emailed them 3 times now over the past weeks and never got a response. Can't get it overturned either.
