They have ridiculously long screeners. They "get away" with it by paying more than others do for screeners

I started the "Agentic AI Comfort & Adoption" study and was almost immediately screened out at the beginning. This somehow led to my submission being rejected and receiving an automated warning for "speeding through study" message from Prolific. I definitely won't ever do any of their studies ever again, and would recommend you don't either if you care about your submission record.

I've had this happen before with other studies, Prolific will automatically reject studies sometimes if they are completed too fast compared with the estimated time the researcher gives. I wouldn't blame the researcher for it. Prolific will fix it if you explain what happened

Asked quite a few questions before screening out, took me over 3 minutes just to get 20 cents. The study was supposed to be 5 minutes for $2. Update: I changed from 1 to 3 stars, because the researcher did give me a bonus of $0.50 on top of the screenout pay. The study still feels quite misleading, but at least I feel more properly paid for my time now.

Alternate title for this survey: New Survey Opportunity! - Earn $0.30 for 3 minutes of your time! That was quite the "screener". Full demographics, details of my laptop, phone and previous phone, opinions about AI, etc. A screener is a few questions and 10-15 seconds, which I can live with. I assumed I'd qualified after the demographics. If I do 60% of a survey I expect 60% of the pay, not an insulting 30 cents. Feels rather like I got conned into doing a 3 minute survey for 30 cents. They certainly got plenty of data. I'd take another star off for the impossible to differentiate name "Researcher" and generic title but there aren't any stars left.

I was a little hesitant to take this study just because so many Researcher named researchers have bad reputations, but this was a 10 minute Typeform study that ended up taking only 9 minutes. It was very easy, and when I submitted it, it was approved instantly with an adjustment that took the payout from £2.79 to £3.64. Much appreciated!
