Parnassus Labs - Prolific Researcher Reviews

Received my first rejection on prolific almost immediately after submitting the “Plant Milk Habits” survey. I completed the spoken conversational questions in full and within the normal allotted time frame. It said, “ The researcher has decided that your submission cannot be used” and the justification was “quality” issues. There were no issues whatsoever unless the issue was from their end. No option to return study and no response to my inquiry about doing so.

This study had plenty of open places, but when I started it, I got this message: Study closed This study is no longer accepting responses. You can safely close this tab. That's fine, but they need to pay partial compensation. Instead, they force you to file a NOCODE, and you'll likely get a rejection, so you have to return it.

I made this account purely for this post and I wish I could rate them 0 stars. Had no issues with their studies until today. They rejected my study after I completed the entire thing on the basis of "potential quality issues", then ignored any messages I sent asking why. Since the rejection, my account has been having serious issues when it comes to reserving studies, and not them or Prolific seem very interested in helping.

PII collection (email address) before a single screener question. No PII flag on the study description. I get through the screener questions, agree to use the camera, and then "You don't qualify."

I got an unfair rejection ...the reason they gave was low content quality and when i messaged them to review they did 't reply ...am not doing there study again

One of the most nonsensical studies I've ever been screened out of. Like the screener asked which browser I used at least once a week on PC, and I was screened out for 0.15 USD for answering Google Chrome. Like what the hell? How is this a valid screener?

The screen-out question for one of their surveys today was: "How many times this week have you watched Reels on Instagram" Why oh why did I unblock this researcher? And I didn't take their 35 cents, have to have SOME self-respect.

It said 21 minutes and was twice as long 42 minutes. I only eceived compensation for 21 minutes.

Screened out after a long screener and no screenout code or reward. I was supposed to get .88 cents.

First rejection after over 2000 approved studies (including previous ones with Parnassus). There was a technical problem with their study and I wasn’t sure of its extent. Got an automatic rejection with no option to return the study and no response from them. Prolific upheld it. Absolute scandal. Avoid them!

Another good Parnassus Labs study, which I can't tell much about besides that it was easy to do and had little to no bugs. It was straightforward, and I got approved fast. But it still underpays for how long you spend on it.

Quite a good study for once, was really fun, but it misses perfection for the sole reason that 7.50 USD/h is quite underpaying for the strict minimum.

This study was okay, but let's say I wasn't really the demographic since I don't run a business. Still, I won't complain about a 0.66 USD screenout reward

The study I did was marked as confidential so I can't really say much about it but let's just said I got screened out in 3 minutes and got instant approval reward of $1.26

Completed the whole study with long detailed answers and thoroughly engaged with every aspect of the study, received an instant rejection after submission. Blocked them and filed a dispute. edit: my rejection was upheld, please avoid them.

I usually don't have any problems with this researcher. I've done many surveys for them and either get screened out for a small payment or complete the survey. But this time I answered a LOT of questions about my usage of streaming services, and then received "Sorry, you do not qualify for this study. Thank you for your time!" with no screen-out or pay.

These guys have really gone downhill. They used to offer pretty okay AI interview studies. Today I took one of their studies for the first time in a while and their AI interviewer kept threatening to end the study if I didn't give longer answers. Like I'm sorry I don't have a ridiculously long answer on why my favorite flavor is orange????? Then the interviewer actually ended the interview. After like ten minutes of work. It didn't even redirect back to prolific or provide a code to at least screen out for my time. Just ended. Extremely rude.

Not the first time but they always seem to reject after I've spent 20-30 mins doing a video ai interview. Have blocked them this time round

i find that they always reject and the ai interviewer just doesn't work a lot of times. i'll stop doing these

At first my submission was returned, and the study did require you to make a new Google account easily leaking your phone number, however I handled the phone verification on another screen while screen recording. I contacted them and told them I had a recording of the task and completed it in full shortly after the return and just today it was approved.

no comments. third time i tried to pass interview on that terrible ai video interview platform. got screened out after 40 min and completing 100% !!!!! of study. never again

Edit: After contacting Prolific support, my submission has now been approved. This has not put me off taking Parnassus studies because as I mentioned before, I have taken many and never had an issue. I also often take their studies knowing I won't be eligible just to get the quick screenout pay. Completed the study but then it didn't re-direct back to Prolific with a completion code. So I submitted with "no code." The next morning my study had been returned. This is Prolific who have done this since Parnassus is a Prolific partner. Have submitted a ticket to Prolific support as I should be paid for this. Study was completed in full, only issue was at the end on getting the completion code. This happened with a number of users this day (the day Prolific went down due to the mass of AI studies). I have done many studies with Parnassus before with no issues but this is a huge flag and Prolific needs to address it and pay those of us affected.

Auto rejection after giving 45 minutes of interview time. Took my data and ran. Unresponsive. Seems like a scam. Also frequently advertises much shorter survey time than what it actually takes.

If I could rate a minus 5 star - I would ... Shortly after completing the study - Help shape the Omaze app , the study got rejected within seconds - raised a rejection dispute with the prolific support team and rejection was upheld 😠

First thing they ask you to do is screen record yourself creating a new gmail account, exposing your phone number etc for verification.

It just happened again!!! I was screened out after getting through a series of questions. I was prompted to start the study after an attention check, but the next screen said that I wasn't what the study was searching for. Screened out for .36. But at least this time it didn't take a 1000 years before I screened out.

I think I'm gonna start taking a break from Parnassus? I've done several and lately the pay is going down and it appears they are farming for data without having to pay a fair reward that matches the input. I was just screened out of a study after five minutes of answering study questions regarding my search habits. Just when it said I was passed the screening I was then told to open two incognito windows for the next portion of the study. Upon doing this and submitting for the next step this when I was screened out??? .84 for five minutes. This is happening far too often with them. The rates used to be really good and automatically approved.

Microphone, camera, and active participation needed. Talked about a specific thing with AI for 30 minutes. Paid out almost immediately.
