Great researcher, always do their studies when they show up. Consistently pay very well for the time put in, and the last week I've noticed they started paying some bonuses on top of the already high pay. The last few I've done for them have all given a bonus of 0.75$ or 1$ on 3~ minute studies. Would highly recommend!

This study’s audio check has unfortunately been very unreliable. It worked fine for me two days ago, but now it fails every time even though I’m using the exact same computer, microphone, and setup. I've tried making adjustments to input volume, when I play back the audio my voice sounds crystal clear. Have made sure there's no background noise, simply cannot get it to work anymore. I finally got the audio checks to work, and my submission was rejected. Reason given "Your submission could not be approved because automated quality checks flagged the session."

This review is on the tool used to verify eligibility for this survey. Previously, using the same equipment I passed with a "high" quality. However, for this survey, I was disqualified for the following reason: "We couldn't verify your recording. Something went wrong while reviewing your audio." Curiously, the same system that claimed it couldn't verify my recording somehow said everything else passed: Low background noise Clear acoustics Voice clearly detected Strong microphone quality Quiet surroundings This is incredibly frustrating. If the problem were with my equipment, I could address it by improving my microphone, computer, or internet connection. However, based on the feedback provided, the system appears to recognize that my audio quality is acceptable while failing at the verification step itself. Even with an ideal setup, this type of verification failure would still prevent participation. I also contacted the researcher twice regarding this issue but have not received a response. This occurred across multiple attempts, using different equipment, over several days.

Ah, I see that the requestor name has been redacted, but you can cross reference via the study name, still. This set of studies are not the most well-paying when it comes to AI studies (in fact, the rate of compensation is half or less than that of the 'other' well-known player in this domain). However, the task is probably 1/4 of the effort (i.e., it's much easier). This might be an okay thing to do in the downtime when the 'other' studies are not available or unusually quiet (e.g., perhaps the weekends). The only thing that makes me uncomfortable about participating in these studies is that we might be collectively encouraging requestors to underpay us (i.e., by accepting their rate of compensation, we are signaling a willingness to work for pennies/peanuts when we could be making much more for our time).
